1,305,000 km!

Lloyd's Camry

My name is Lloyd E. and I purchased this amazing car in the spring of 1992. This car has saved me a lot of time and money. The car has 1,305,000 kms. on her right now. At 535,000 kms. I replaced the transmission with one I picked up at a junk yard so at the moment it has some 770,000 kms. on the transmission. I did not replace any more major components until she had 1,295,000 kms. on her. The engine was getting tired (I could not understand that) so I found one in a junk yard which looked in good shape. The actual kilometers on it was unknown. At this time, I had the fuel filter replaced for the first time and the resonator replaced too. The rest of the exhaust components are still the same. In the summer of 2008 I purchased a new Camry and turned the 92 Camry over to my daughter Kelsey, she was born in 92, too. The things that I’m impressed with are; the low maintenance cost, the high quality parts that were put into the car, the good service and … I love to drive them.

Tim's Corolla

My 1982 Toyota Corolla has 1,143,360 km. It has gone through sleet, snow, rain, duist, construction, and demonstrated an uncanny knqack for destroying Saturns. The official score on that end is 1-0, Corolla wins. It runs well, has had no major repairs, no rips and tears on the seats, and has been very reliable. The dash shows evidence of a recent theft attempt, but that shall soon be rectified. With any vehicle of this age, rust can be a factor, and there are some rust spots, but nothing that a new paint job would not cure. If this were a person, it would probably be getting ready with a fresh supply of 2nd wind, and preparing for the 2nd million km!

Elly's 4Runner

My Toyota 4Runner is a 1996 Limited Edition with 563,569 km! It's been an excellent vehicle, and I have been very happy with its' performance. The only repairs have been regular maintenance at my Dealership, and I’ve routinely change fluids every 25,000 to 30,000 km. I’ve always been very happy with my Dealership and they do a great job! I call my “Toy” my dream SUV, and I’m going for 1,000,000 km! If and when the time comes, I would certainly purchase another 4Runner.

John & Joan’s Corolla

We are John and Joan P. and we wish to submit our Corolla to the high Km club.

In 1995 John took a position in Red Deer and for the next nine years he commuted daily from Olds. It was time to purchase a reliable economical vehicle. The Corolla has performed nearly flawlessly since then. At approximately 100,000 km we blew the engine gaskets due to the freezing of the PCV valve at minus 40 Celsius. Red Deer Toyota came to the rescue, and did the repairs at no cost to us. I have replaced the struts only once. Reasonable driving habits and regular maintenance are the formula for success. I recently turned over 500,000 km.
